I am so jealous of the space in that garage. I have reached maximum tool storage capacity for a 2 car garage. I have shelves on top of shelves! Still have room for an 80 gal compressor though!

The dryer at the end of line rarely do I get any moisture when opening the petcock at the bottom. I drained the first drip leg the other day, it was an aw shit moment when I opened it under pressure. The drip leg prior to the dryer has just a touch of water/moisture....

Added this drip leg about 4 years ago, catches a little bit of water...

Looks like my setup will be getting drip legs. Thanks for the information!

A big garage was one of my stipulations in finding our house. There is actually another side to the garage. It has a projection TV an xbox and pool table. That's where I'm putting the compressor and where I am gonna store the boat and side by side in the winter. Going to have to move the pool table to fit the boat though. The ol lady's grandparents have a four car garage and it's deep enough to fit 8 vehicles. That's a big garage. The sad part is they only have one vehicle a lawn mower and trailer.

I have been online here hit and miss. With the overtime they have us working at the plant and doing Cotnp on the side. We finally bought a house in Missouri to set roots out here at this plant. Seems like all we do is little updates now in the spare time but the garage is needing some updates for me. Was very dark and only one wall plug in had most of that fixed few weeks back. Have 3 of 9 led lights hung right now. Have some drywall work to do before hanging to many more just to pull down.
With trading in the Camaro since I found it was parked most of the time. The crew cab does not fit inside so the 3 car needs made larger only 30x21 also out to the front or a new bay to be wider and longer.

Atleast there's light out front now.

And inside.

Add more of these.

Think the garage doors need upgraded also there cheap and old.
Also coat the floor to make it cleaner looking.
My truck is pretty close but it does fit with the hitch in even.

I also built a home air dryer but I took a little different approach. We do a lot of vehicle painting in my buddies garage so we had to get all the moisture out. I built a simple desiccant canister out of a 2" ID nipple with two caps on the ends. Put fine screen to strain out the desiccant and tapped the pipe for air chucks. It's a really cheap but effective set up. I'll post pictures when I go up to his place.

It would probably cost around $40 to replicate and we have had zero moisture since installing it. And we had a serious issue with water prior to this.

Just finished putting 200A to the house and 100A to the garage. I now have 220 air compressor wired and my 220 for the welder. It's about time is all I can say! Also got a top and bottom 44" tool cabinet.

Having a breaker panel in a garage is a must. So many more options with one. One thing I noticed though is your wire going into the meter should be protected with conduit.

The feeder wire coming out of the meter must be protected. Unless it's over I believe 12'. That's the same thing as running Romex exposed along your house.

Never had to do that in any of the service changes we've done. Unless it's running on the outside of the house for awhile. But even then you'd probably put a disconnect out there because they probably wouldn't want that much unfused wire running along. But if he had a service upgrade he most likely had to pull a permit for it. At least here in Maryland he would've had too.

It only has to be in pipe if it's triplex. It's the uv protected sleeve stuff it's fine according to our local code. It's already been inspected.

Ok. That wouldn't fly here in ND. local laws are different. Most the time it has to be in conduit all the way to the panel depending on the distance

That's a bitch. Especially trying to bend that to get inside coming out of the bottom of the pipe. Can't be exposed much inside. Has to be the "shortest distance possible" which is the opinion of you're inspector lol but yeah we can run the SEU down the entire side of the house coming from where the service head is on top where the utility connection is.

I don't think I could get the seu to bend inside of a pipe. It doesn't bend very tight corners too well. In the picture you can see its not fastened to the siding. I would've liked to put a clip there but the seu wouldn't bend that far. I tried and pulled the romex through the bottom of the meter base. Had to get a cap and move the wire over to the middle hole.
