Always been a gm guy born and raised, but when i got old enough to afford diesel trucks I went with Cummins, love the motor but can't stand what's attached too it. I've been looking for duramax lbz for while now, think I may have found one. Only problem is it has a few issues, let me explain. It's a 2006 lbz 4x4 regular cab dually base model with 166k for 7 grand maybe 6, we started at 9. Ok here's what's wrong, over pressurized coolant Proly bad head gasket or egr, no biggie. But he had the tranny rebuilt by some retards that went out of business, they didn't even install the nsbu switch Wtf. But here are the codes that iam getting, p0960-706-708-722-128-700 can't read the tcu codes. It does start and drive, but obviously in limp mode. Little bout myself I've been a diesel mechanic for over ten years on heavy equipment, but never had to work on duramax trucks, just wondering if you guys think its worth 6or7 grand. Thanks,

I've always been a firm believe in the saying: "Don't buy yourself a problem". To each their own though. I mean for $6,000 it's not terrible. I think you can do better.

Thanks for the input, I do want to buy a truck that everything's good to go, so I know what I got, but I also want to tear it down and beef it up, so its one of those deals how much do I wanna spend on a toy. I got some other prospects, iam in no hurry, maybe dude will drop the price more, or at least let me take it home for a weekend and diagnose what it needs. Either way ill own one before too long, and will be all over these forums for everything I break for plug and playing. Lol
