I talked to the dude. He said the shortening was done on a frame machine. He said he replaced the front clip for the newer body style, but wouldnt answer if it was crashed. It was a 2wd GMC duramax though to start with.
It does look pretty clean. I think he has too much money tied up in it to go less than 12-14k...
