you can only get the 4.10 if you buy gas the Duramax is only with the 3.73.

Your right I was thinking of my 2001 8.1 you could get 3.73 or 4.10.

Now with stock tires at around 30" tall your rear gears are 3.73 for every 1" taller you loose .10 off the gear ratio so on a 33" tire those 3.73 are now 3.43's

Now with that said I ran 285/75/16 on my truck and I could tell a difference towing from them to the 265/75/16 that towed the best for me and got the best all around mpg. But you my need to swap gears for the size of trailer you tow with your truck and the wheel and tire combo your looking at to get the towing you like back if it changes and you dont like it.

:thumb: Have to wait and see if red or someone else wants to swap other wise, if I go to a junk yard I'll buy the axels out of a gas truck. The nice thing about buying axels is I can go thru them verses a rush swap because I have to be at work monday:D

Haven't made that decision yet. I would like to get everything eles done and paid for first, and worry about Wheels and tires closer to spring. As of right now I am thinking 19.5 semi wheels, and a tire about 33"s tall but sure yet. When I am ready to buy I would like to talk to someone who has a simular combination and see what they say about it(likes and dislikes). I consitently pull 13,000lbs and up so I would like to stay as close to stock gear/tire ratio as I can. I spent all this money to get more power I don't want to lose any.:D

Trouble with that wheel and tire combo is the weight. and rotating mass would kill the power when towing. when you start getting into 19.5 and up wheels and tires your adding more rotating weight and that weight is harder on the truck then dead weight in the bed.

Sorry track bike woes so I've been distracted tryin to come up with the scratch to fix it. I'm on 33s with stock rims right now but only 1/4in spacers out back. More would require new studs blah blah. For towing though I'd have to go bigger on spacers but my trucks 5th wheel days are over.

The parts swap thing was really more like a joke, it would be a nightmare and my truck started life in Michigan so there's a lil more surface corrosion in the factory coating than you would probably like. Now if you were in the same state......I don't think I could resist.

I still wish I could find someone that used the fenders to see how they turned out. Hate buying something with out talking to other customers first.
