Instead of putting the washers on the bottom, could you add a plate to the top with a hole in it for the leaf retainer bolt? That would also pick up the bottom of the u-bolts. Several years ago, I saw a mini truck that drug the u-bolts and shifted the axle back far enough that it could not be driven.

Good idea, I might think about that. :thumb:

2" lower, and 2" from my axle tubes>frame. Might notch it if it's too close.

Send me a pic with your tele phone.

Will do brandon, I'll give em a call monday. Might also go over to Cliff's welding over in Mesa since they have a lot of that stuff.

Brian, just hit up 4wheeler parts and supply or Fly n Hi or dunbar. they are all at your back door in mesa. I got a bunch of u-bolts for our trucks but they are for lifted trucks lol

Ended up going to the dealer and getting half ton Ubolts, their quite a few inches shorter than 3/4 ton ones and work quite well right now, but I havent driven the truck yet so we'll see.
thanks for your guys help :thumb:

Im only running 2 springs on each side right now as well.

True, they are smaller, and only 90ft lbs instead of 110, but we'll see I guess. my boss' race truck is a little 1500 that runs low 12's with no traction bars and Ubolts are fine, but he has half the TQ we do :(

time will tell.

Na, no more racing and sled pulls are once every 3 years here on a POS sled that my truck could yank 300 feet on street tires.
