Bummer, hopefully depending on your guys schedule Id like to hit as many of your pulls as I can!

BTW will you guys be doing a points system with the diesel truck classes?

its all good i plan on hitting most of if not all the pulls with you next year glad to see you changed the rules to a FPP style 2.6 class you're going to attract alot more trucks than just having street/pro stock diesels

we have talked about points for 3.0 but not alot of trucks so we will be talking about it! if we ran a points fund for 2.6 trucks how many trucks you think we would get per event? in the new englad Ny area??????????

Id def try to make it a point to hit each pull. I would like to say about 5-10 trucks per event? You guys seem to do a great job with promoting so that should help a lot as well.

i would think a minumum of 10 2.6 would fit a wide varity of setups not everyone has a prostock/3.0 truck...at king of trucks in syracuse there was 47 in the 2.6 street class and 6 in the 3.0...

There's NO guarantee anywhere that truck will show up, but as Rich stated, there are 10 times more trucks that fit the 2.6 rules out there in driveways or garages than the 3.0 rules, so "on paper" it would reason that it should be easier to get more 2.6 trucks than 3.0.

It seems like it takes two things to get guys to travel with their trucks.

1.) Payout/Purse (money is a good motivator). SPI might not have the highest purse in the nation, but their payouts are better than the clubs in the surrounding areas (at least MA, CT, RI, VT, NH)
2.) Respect (which sometimes is more important than a payout). If guys travel a long distance with their trucks (most are on a trailer and gas/diesel is not cheap), and get to a pull and are treated well and it's organized, they are 10 times more likely to come back. If the event is a nightmare as far as organization and rules, or they are treated as if they are a "lesser class" (which happens all too often), you will most likely not see them back. Yes some classes have more power, are louder, faster, etc., but it takes ALL classes to put on a "show" and get large volumes of spectators. As much as there are fans in the stands to watch 2000+HP 2 wheelers, there are fans there that could care less about the noise and only want to watch the smoke blowing diesels. Pullers in all classes need to have a little more respect for those outside their class. If that could happen, I GUARANTEE you would have no issue getting large numbers of trucks (especially the diesels).
