Why don't the outlaw guys get involved in the sanctioned race organizations. We were headed to TS last year and where planning to go to Buck and Jess's event as well. The flood in Bowling Green and us sucking a turbo boot and clamp through the turbos and engine canceled that.
It's just to damn far to travel for most of the western guys, including us. Not afraid to run those guys, most can't make it more than one pass due to having the trucks so cranked up they break. Few of them can even drive their truck to the line having to be towed and are towed back to the pits and can't start without starting fluid. Those are true race trucks, and should win but usually don't due to breaking. Comparing those trucks to our truck/s is apples to oranges.
We would have loved to race Smitty at the NHRDA finals, we were #1 and #2 qualifiers in prostreet, he went up in smoke and lost to the slowest prostreet truck there, we lost a TC on the line so no race. They were the quickest truck there for sure, but quickest usually doesn't win at you know.
It's very cool what those guys are doing with their trucks, just doesn't happen to be my/our thing. I like a quick truck you can still license and drive on the street, and you can both of ours.
