Who has experience shipping a vehicle across country? Getting some crazy proces on u ship so just looking for advice or other places to get pricing. A lot of the brokers I've talked to sound like crooks...

I'm not sure. However I've seen issues using u ship and people got screwed..

Where to and from? I know a buddy with a trucking business and they pick up trucks sometimes for an extra dollar when they are empty

I'll see if they travel that far each way. I think he stays mostly midwest.

I paid 3300$ to have a yukon xl denali shipped to fairbanks alaska, from costa mesa , california. took like 6 weeks ish, id have to look at the paperwork to see the exact details, i can look if you want

Aside the time taken, i had no issues, they picked it up from yhe dealership, and we met the truck at a drop point locally.

I shipped a 1932 Studebaker to Norway. Drained the tank, Rolled it off a roll back and into a shipping container, screwed 4X4s front, back & sides of each tire set, strapped her down and crate was sent via train to the east coast and loaded onto a ship there. Buyer paid for the ride so I don't know what it cost, I don't think the train ride was very expensive though...

I had my truck shipped from Fleece in Indiana to the Canadian border in Champlain, NY for $800 cash. I found him on uShip. Arrived in less than 24 hrs.

I live 20 minutes from the Champlain border. I'm getting quotes of 3k+. I put it out for bid last week and got quotes of 1500 so idk what the price jump is for.

I had a jetta shipped from Los angeles to NE Oregon and they charged me 575$ and brought it damn near to my door but I told the truck driver I would meet him at the truck stop 15 miles from my house so it would be easier for him to get in and out of. he did says it should have been 675 but that had to be close to 1050 miles. so I'd say if you get one for 1500$ that might not be too bad really.

I'd book it for $1500 right now but all my quotes are suddenly coming in at $3000 when they were just at $1500 a week ago. That's where my frustration is.
