Allison 6sp: Shipping Transmission?

Has anyone ever shipped an allison? I want to have mine built but Im curious how much it will cost me and who to ship through.

I think Diesel Power did an article on shipping an Allison in a contained box. It was supposed to keep anything from spilling out if there was still some fluid in the trans.

I can not remember what they called the box, but I think it was designed for an Allison.

I don't know what you are reffering to but sounds expensive. You can make your own crate and line it with plastic. Best bet is to drain everything overnight and you should be good to go. See your other post about shipping costs.
