NE to RI? Crap thats gonna cost you a bundle,I'll bet more than you paid for the rear!

Couple things make sure you ship it at the correct rate, used auto-parts. Also find out or use a trucker that you can pick it up at their terminal. Home delivery is a lot more unless you can ship it to a business.

Go here http://www.freightquote.com/default.aspx

Easy enough to sign up.

I strongly suggest Freightquote. They are great to deal with and use only the best to move freight.

I work for a trucking company and we do a lot of work for freightquote.

But we do not have any places in NE. Otherwise I could help you out on this.

Had to step away for a min

My only experience with the company is some of my customers use them and I don't care for them. What they do is find a LTL carrier . You have to use their freight bill or you wont get the price quoted. Just use it for a guide ,thats all I would do then find your own carrier.

Ok since Tommy03 put that post in I should clarify. They may be every thing he says

I do not deal directly with Freight Quote but my customers do so perhaps it's my customer who makes it a pain in the ass for me. Like I said they find a LTL carrier and schedule the pick up. What happens to me is my customer makes these arrangements which I hate and a trucker shows up at my facility with NO INFORMATION but they have a pick up.

So then I have to do research or just send him packing with nothing. Where I feel Freight Quote could be better since YOU HAVE TO USE THEIR FREIGHT BILL should ensure by way of phone call or fax with the freight bill PRIOR to sending in a truck!

Guess I'm just bitching as it makes a hassle for me and my secretary! :D

Yes I put partial blame on my customer but IMO Freight Quote could do a better job in that department of advanced notice of the Carrier and documentation! That is all

You wont find anything cheaper than $275. I don't even know how they can do it that cheap. Whats that like .15 cents a mile, my truck cost in fuel about .40 cents a mile? :D
