Not what I was implying dumb ass. It the fact that you ask a question, get a good tech response from multiple people, and then say, "well, I know what I am talking about, you guys dont"...

good luck dude.

not what i said at all, the first question i asked was answered and im grateful for that i found the base table i had been overlooking...

however the second bit about clutch release speed hasn't had any light shed on it just yet..

i dunno why you're getting so bent out of shape? if im being a retard then so be it ill learn the hard way.... i appreciate all the info i get and if i don't use it then its on me...its not like im sneaking into your garage at night and loading it into your trans

leave it alone... there is only so much you will get out of your setup, you are limited by the confines of your turbo. I run a modified TCM and that is what got me lower ET's

no offense nick but thinking like that never got anyone anywhere...im not one to just write something off and say "oh well thats as fast as i'm gonna go" if i were i would of called it quits at high 12.50's cause thats about all anyone said i would be able to do...not saying that i'm any kind of miracle worker or anything to get my truck into the .40's but i always think there's room for some improvement somewhere...even if its minuscule...

but i am highly interested in this modified TCM you speak of.... is it just standard software modification or is there something more?

Remember Tom wanted to run his truck just a .10 quicker, changed tunes and lost the engine... I would say 12.4 is damn good, you should look into slicks get your 60's down in the 1.5 range and your ET will follow

i plan on having cheaters for next season,.. :)

and yes, that is very unfortunate what happened to tom. but there have been other at or beyond his level with no such failure...look at what jeff just did...

i doubt ill ever be near him but there's always a little more to get..somewhere.

im confident ill be able to get my 60's in the 1.5's with slicks...so that will be a big help but there's also a little bit more mph to be had

I learned something from this thread:

I too was under the impression that the shift timing was what the transmission was "shooting for" and it would vary pressure and volume in order to meet those times.

If those times are not what it's seeking when it's adapting, what value/time etc. is it actually trying to achieve? Is it something burried in the tcm? (NO IM NOT TRYING TO CHANGE IT). Just curious in a little more detail how it works? and what its actually looking for?

Best shifting TCM program Ive run was a basic 01 OS with no changes. Ran a couple modified TCM programs and they were horrible, lazy shifting piles of garbage, even after allowing them time to learn.

TCM is always looking for the perfect shift ( which is programmed ). The perfect shift is about 7/10 of a second. Unless you lock the adapts, which can be done with EFI, it will be hunting.
As far as clutches releasing; that is also dictated bt the adapts.
You all have experienced running the truck hard and noticing that the TCM as learned the tq demand and raised pressure accordingly. When you start driving the truck in a docile manor, the Alli will shift hard on an upshift and downshift till it learns the tq demand is much less. Unless you gain control of the operating system you can not stop this. The TCM is worse than a woman.
I don't think EFI gives you this kind of control.

It doesn't.
Also:
I have searched for an OBDII port on the GF too, there isnt one :(
There is another port, but it doesnt give you any more control either
:D

:rofl::rofl: Leave it to Mike.....

Trent told me last year that the best thing to do is invest in another TCM that is exclusively for racing. Beech, thats probably what you should be doing.
