shift kit

i need to pull my tranny due to a cracked flexplate. i'm wondering if i should go ahead and do the transgo shift kit while i have the tranny out? any thoughts?

If your pulling the transmission yourself than you can put your own kit in IMO. The biggest cost is the torque converter and labor. By a kit from MikeL and he'll walk you through the install. Just do it

If you've never raised the power or don't plan on it above a small tow tune than don't bother. Anything 100 hp or better you have to for longevity. You'd be surprised the difference just with a 100 HP tune with a built transmission!

How much are you saving yourself buying only a Transgo vs doing a full build. Then add what you'll spend in fluid and time dropping the trans again in the future to build it later.
