He licensed his pitman arm to Duramax Store and they sell it under their Kryptonite brand name. It is a very stout piece. Judging by the price they are pretty proud of it also.

Never broken anything on my D-max front end just beefing up because I am lifted with 37s and well a wear of GM ifs weak links.
Just checked out D-max store didn't find a kryptonite pitman just the idler that I already have.

I've since taken the braces off and haven't had a problem yet. But I would like to know what's causing this. Wonder if it's like our cranks shit just breaks for multiple reasons.

I like to do my own fan work so when I first saw the Cognito kit I figured I just build my own. With the thought of building my own in mind under my truck watching the whole system move from lock to lock. What I noticed is how the cognito kit holds the stud straight allowing the ball to only pivot on a single axis creating a bind at both left and right extremes showing the need for the ball stud. The center link needs to twist due to the angle change as the pitman arm swings.

The whole PISK/sheared pitman arm thing seems kinda like a conundrum to me.

I've been using them for damn near a decade between 3 different rigs, and I'm far from easy goin on my rigs...I've always felt like the PISK helped out allot! I have never experienced any issues on any of my rigs from running it, I've had a PISK set up on the duramax for 30k mi now and everything's still solid.

The kit has been on there with the truck running everything from a 32" tall tire to a 34.8" tire, leveled torsion bars, lowered torsion bars and now with a 4" lift and a perfect torsion bar setting...I guess I've had good luck with the PISK, hahaha, that's about the only "good luck" I have had with this truck
