I will probably own my truck until the wheels fall off. Cant say that Ive felt that way about any other vehicle Ive owned (except maybe my 83 Mustang, but even that got sold), but this truck means something more than that to me. Maybe its the forums Ive been a part of that did it? Maybe the friends I've made b/c of it? Who knows.

I would say that has a lot to do with it Tom. Our trucks are our identity on the forums until you meet the person behind the keyboard at an event or through a transaction or whatever

X2
This truck takes me camping, fishing, shooting, four wheeling and the boat to the lake. It is a major multi-use vehicle that keeps me happy because of above stuff. Try doing that with a Prius.

I can see your view, Tom, and I thought the same thing. It was probably why I made the post on here once I sold my old truck.
My old LB7 got me all the way through college. The stories it could tell. It went and towed a stranded buddy home from 3 hours away. It put 3000 miles on my trailer one year while redoing a house in DE. It took trips to TS. It hauled some deer, saw countless fields during harvest, and sat beside many creeks.
But my LML is starting its stories. It took me to the Outer Banks of NC and back last week on a fishing trip. This weekend I'm driving it to fish with a buddy I met because of my old truck and these forums. I'm hoping my LML is as good of a truck as my LB7 was (knock on wood).

This past Friday ended a decade long addiction to my LLY...bought in 2006 with 5k miles, sold Friday with 144k. Gonna miss it, seems like just yesterday I was gutting the cat at 5,100 miles, building trans at 14k miles and putting an Aurora 5000 on at 30k miles :roflmao:.

So sad.. I dont think I could sell mine now. As i stated before too many memories and too much invested! I suppose if the price is right anything is possible

My LLY was tuned with junk chips from 30k to 150k then got efi and I put those miles on it in 4 years, drove it 60k with blown hg's, drove it from 145k to 190k with bad injectors, don't have a clue how hot it got and egt's and how many times it seen them, and finally killed the Pistons. Mileage doesn't mean shit as long as it's serviced correctly and allowed to warm and cool. The life my trucks lived I don't understand how some guys are killing stock trucks so easy.
