Caldwell , Oh
I am normally a sled puller but I want to take my truck to the track this fall and see what it will do .

Other than loosing as much weight as possible what is the best advice you guys can give me on setup and leaving the line ? and also should I run my locker engaged ?

no on the locker ( I am assuming this is your front locker)

hold the break and build a lil boost then launch, play with it until you are comfortable, staging off of a light is way harder then truck pulling, I am only a novice racer, usually I light one bulb and wait on the other guy to light one or both his bulbs and then as I am building boost "bump" into the second bulb try not and blow thru my breaks and leave on the third yellow, most of all have fun :)

Lower the t bolts until they are level and try 35 psi all around, 8lbs-10 lbs boost.

Y wouldn't you run the locker? I just installed my front elocker and it was way smoother on the pulling track, I would have to think it will help racing too.

As stated somewhat, I would drop your t bar bolts down as much as possible, air your tires down to 25 in the rear and 30 in the front, launch at 10-15 psi depending on your mods, and let her eat!

leave the line like your drag racing. I wouldn't dick around with trying to come out soft, usually ends up coming out alot softer then you expect when you try that

I would NOT run the locker! It doesn't work drag racing. been there and done that. Run the front tires 3 to 5 pounds higher than the back. Leave at 10 to 15 pounds. You just need to try different stuff it depends on the turbo and high quick it lights. Have fun.

Jeff are you gonna be at National Trails any friday evenings this fall ?

With your expertise on the subject I sure would like to pick your brain a little bit . This sled pulling is getting pretty carried away , I might have to join you drag racing guys .
