07.5 LMM. I just had the transmission built with a stage five kit. Four-wheel-drive was working just fine until I reset the taps.
Now I'm getting this message service four-wheel-drive, and I can't switch with my dial. I'm not getting any codes.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

Have you tried twisting the selector knob over past 4L and holding with the key in run position or engine idling? Trans in N, parking brake set.

I had to do that when I pulled the tcase on my LMM. The lights on knob were off and "service four wheel drive" message was on.

^^that's the relearn if you don't have a tech 2. Think it takes 30 seconds or so of holding the knob. You'll hear it cycle.

Tried this, the service 4wd message went away, but still no lights on switch and not shifting out of 2wd.

Yup^

You'll probably find a code too. Efi can't run the test. I also don't think it can read tcase codes, can it?

Well, I figured out I was doing the tcase relearn wrong, I did it again, and this time I was hearing the clicking sound.
Same thing, still service 4wd.
But now I have a different problem. When I try to drive, I have to get to about 3,000 rpms before I can barely get the thing moving, and she will be in 6th gear doing 20 mph down the driveway. Like the brakes are locked up.
Could that have anything to do with the tcase relearn?

Used my efi live v2, and found out that I am stuck in four-wheel-drive low.
Any ideas on how to get out?

OK, Mike has said it twice.....for chrissakes, find a mechanic with knowledge and a TECH 2 (or comparable scanner) to diagnose what is wrong with your truck. An EFIlive V2 IS NOT the appropriate tool to be using in this situation and you are obviously just guessing. We cant diagnose your truck from afar.

It's stuck in 4wd lo. I'm not going to be able to drive 30 miles to the closest decent mechanic that way.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I have been in your shoes before in my 06 but it was stuck in neutral in my slight hill of a driveway. Park was useless and my parking brake cable was rusted in half. I was able to hold down the 2wd button and turn the key on, supposedly it forces the decoder motor to move regardless of the position it thinks it's in.

That was the older style with buttons not the dial. My wife's Tahoe has he dial and gets the service 4wd message with the lights out on the dial periodically. I have successfully fixed it by putting the transmission in neutral and turning the dial as soon as I turn on the ignition to 4wd low and turning off again and repeating it going into hi.

When you did the relearn did you have the transmission in neutral or park? Either way try doing it again making sure you are in neutral. If that doesn't work check the 4wd and tcase fuses. Without the tech2 you are just pussing in the wind in diagnosing the 4wd system.
