I have a 07 Duramax 2500. Out of no where it started shifting hard and than the "Transmission Hot Idle Engine" light came on. Ended up getting new jasper Trans. On the way home the same thing happened. The Trans temp gauge on dash says 210 temp. The temp on my Edge gauge with Efi live chip read 250 and that was after a while of cool down. Obviously the tranny was not the problem, but what is????????

I do not like anything from jasper for starters (just throwin that out there)... but check your harness for any chaffing or broken wires. TCM's are common as well. any codes?
I'll bet they didn't. Heat exchanger is probably full of clutch material from the converter clutch.
Def not loving that I got a jasper at this point lol! Appreciate all the info. Just dropped truck back off at shop. Making them check everything out and solving the problems. Noticed this morning before taking truck back down that there was something leaking from the output shaft which wasn't leaking before.
