LLY: Sensor on intake runner

What is this sensor that is on the intake runner.. I'm putting lbz runners on and they don't have a spot for this sensor.. Knowledge please???

Mine hasn't been hook up for years and I never noticed a difference

So there's no need to have it.. Ill cut it off the harness then

You can add a small hose barb to the hole in the LBZ Y bridge then run a piece of hose from the hose barb to the map sensor. Just zip tie it out of the way. I did that to my LLY when I added LBZ runners and no problems at all. It was RDL's idea and I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

ummmm don't do that... mine unplugged will set codes. just tap it and install. Why are you installing LBZ runners?

I assumed a code would show up if i left it off. Ill rig it up somehow on there.. Iv got a pro fab y bridge that has a lly intake throat to lbz bridge and lbz runners.. Everything is alot bigger than what comes on a lly.. Big air

I would do as Paint said do not cut it out i would drill and tap it into the runner

How the hell do you expect his variable vane turbo to even work at all when the ECM has no idea what the actual boost is.

I don't want to get in the middle of anything but i wondered this as well.Thought if it didn't see x amount of boost it would just limp the truck.But what do i know

Nope u might have to shut off some codes , but that's it

For a while I used a oil press sensor, so I could log higher boost press.
