Hahaha..sounds like that's what I'll have to do. My only concern now is $ for wheels and tires. Hoping to win me some BMFs in their veteran giveaway but doubt it'll happen

with the turbo hes doin and power he will be makin, he'll do jsut fine without them lol. ive seen some comparisons of others goin from 37s to 265s at a drag strip and only droppin .2-.3 tenths. sure its alot in drag racing but if you think about how big those 37s are to 265s, you would think it would drop more than that. I know with 37s, i dont feel i NEED gears, 40s though i couldnt say

The 40" tire caught my attention. That is a BIG tire! Even with big power, the truck should feel a little sluggish after installing the lift and tires. Sluggish is in regards to responsiveness prior to the modification. If the plan is to swap to 37s as soon as possible, then I would just ride it out and see how it feels with 37s.

oh i got ya. yeah the 40s that are on the wheels now for the kit dont have much life left in them so in soon time he will have to make that decision on 40s or 37s :D

Well racings not exactly this beasts gig. Don't have the money to build the motor if I blow it and it's my DD so anytime I need/want to do something to it it has to be running by work or I don't get there. I think many years from now when I'm better off financially I'll have a DD and race truck but at the ripe old age of 23  I can settle for a fun lifted truck
