Head studding the 05, installing twin cp3, and 100% injectors.. Found a good deal on a 4094 variable vain charger with a 3" Y bridge and boost tube. Going to have the truck tuned to around 600-650hp one tune will be made to run my nitrous. Obviously this will be putting my bottom end on borrowed time, but I think it'll hold together pretty decent. Any other things I should look into? Haven't bought the turbo but am on a tight budget so any input there would be great.

Thanks

Already have both, got a good deal on them. Got a built motor priced from baileys diesel down in southern Missouri, so if or when she goes it'll be headed that way hopefully ill have the money to fix it by then

I've done a lot of reading online, found several LLY that have lived 1-2+ years at 600+ hp levels, I'm confident in my tuner to help make it live. I guess I'll keep everyone informed once I get everything put on

you guys that did you motors the "smart way" never live on the edge much do ya :joker: :roflmao:

all i would say is plan on the motor coming out sooner than you expect and to have a back up ride if you have no cash to do the motor right away. been there, don that :D

Yeah I'd start saving cash every time you can. It will blow. But what's the fun in building an engine that wasn't blown up already haha

Living on the edge yea i do that for a living IED's RPG's ak-47 all to try and kill us, cant explain a better thrill.:thumb: But on a serious note i have been there and done it amazing tuners Mark at danville and ATP both of there tuning but i think we say it from experience. And if we had to do it again we would go reliable and move up on power from a solid base first.;)

Turbo deal fell through, so I'm going to stick with my 88 jet for extra power once I get everything in. My question to you all is, when you 4x4 launch do you spray as soon as your off the brake, or do you wait till your out of the hole and spray?

What would I benefit more from with a cheetah turbo, 3" Y bridge and intercooler pipe or proflow headers and up pipes?

Sorry. Misread that. I would lean towards the exhaust side improvements. But now that I'm reading I dont see an EGR delete (I assumed you had one) So thats definitely a priority!
