sell my stock navigation head unit

I replaced the stock Navigation Dvd head unit with a Kenwood

My question is can I sell the stock navigation head unit and will it work in another truck? also what is it worth?

It will work in another truck, but it will have to be unlocked.

Not sure if its the same now but back in 05 I tried to put a stock CD player from an 04 into another 04. It would turn on for about 30 seconds then say locked.

GM told me it was locked to the vehicle it came out of and there was no way around it. I brought it into the dealer and they attempted a few flashes but it never took.

yea it was like 60 bucks? i put the antenna in...which was super easy went to the dealer sat in the waiting room for 30 mins and it was done i guess they download the trucks info and upload it into the nav?

you should be able to sell it and it should work. They will have to take a trip to the dealer to have the bcm flashed and add a nav antenna.

If you do sell just be up front with who ever buys that it is sold as is and it is there responsibility for the antenna and trip to the dealer. Also be up front that because of the vehicles computer there is always a chance that it will not work. You would be surprised anyway if you throw it on craigs list or something. More than likely you will find someone who has nav and just needs a replacement. Keep in mind that that unit is almost 2k from GM. So if you sell you should get a decent penny for it. Especially if you find someone who needs a replacement and not just trying to upgrade.

it should i dont see why it wouldnt? take the 2 pillars off and the front of the dash comes off and theres a spot in the middle of the dash for the antenna...its the same shape as the antenna so its a no brainer....

Not sure if it matters whether or not you have bose other then that I can't see it not working.

I dont have bose... Hmm probably need to look into that

Check out gmcnav.com. They can point u to every thing u need. If u don't have Bose you will have to buy an amp. Like I said check them out good info.
