i drove the truck all day ran good i got home and i was goin into town i tried to start the truck but it would start so i check fuses they all good no DTC's at all
then i prime it and after that truck start right on wondering why this is happening and how can avoid it or get it fix thank you in advance

I had to fix the neighbor's LLY that was doing this. Turned out the WIF sensor was cracked and letting it bleed off and suck air causing it to lose prime. $75 later it was fixed.

Water in Fuel Sensor. Its on the bottom of the fuel filter...a white unit that screws into the filter and then plugs into sensor "array"..:D

I had a mystery loss of prime as well long time ago. I installed a billet fuel pickup in the tank and a set of TTS dual lift pumps and its been good ever since. I'm guessing that the changing of fuel lines fixed it, or the addition of pressure to the rest of the system from the lift pumps fixed it.
