Here's a video of my second hook last night. It was a light sled and a fast track(for the dmaxes anyway). I ended up 5th with a pull of 331 and change. I was tached out in 3rd about halfway down the track so I tapped it up to 4th. Ran out of go at the end.

Let me know what you guys think. Maybe some more suggestions. My third hook will be tonight.

I tried right there before the end and it wouldn't tap down. or maybe I need to hit 4th a little sooner to give me more time to be able to downshift to 3rd. No I didn't spin out at the end.

i tried it one time on a real loose track but i drained the rails and limped it when i shifted into 4th and it wouldnt let me down shift.

I don't know alot but,
IMO downshift=breakage
On the fly tuning is sweet on a slippery track.
Get to 3rd on like 100hp,
Then switch to kill, and ride it out.
I don't know, helped me to not blow the track away.
Worked once anyway.
Nice vid.

instead of downshifting at the end, you could wire in a switch to unlock the converter. It should allow you to spin out anyways.

Nice pull BTW, truck sounded good and wasn't wasting anytime getting to the other end. :D Love it.
