Wondwring what everybody is doing to repair their ruined drivers seats.

Have an 03 with leather and an 02 with cloth. The 02 part is discontinued , the 03 will cost $400 IIRC for cushoon and cover.

Salvage yard searching has turned up much yet.

Not many local reputable upholstery shops either.

Thanks.

I think most will tell you to look into the Katzkin aftermarket covers. Good quality and reasonable on price I've heard from many.

eBay may also be an option at times.

Not sure James it's probably the same stuff you were watching.I guess the have great feed back but you have to have your interior code and your vin # for them to match it correctly.I will get the name after I get hold of him.

The cloth seat in the 02 only has a small tear but the cushion is very worn and you can hear and feel the springs shift around when sitting on it. Armrest sags to the seat and is a solid steel bar.

The 03 is severly torn and missing a lot of foam. You can see the entire steel frame on that side. Armrest is cracked so badly that it cuts your elbow up. I think conditioning the leather more wouldve helped a bit but it was fairly cracked when we bought it.

I guess its a bit of a trade off. Running boards help reduce seat wear from slidinf in and out a bit but they cause early rocker panel rust.

I found a local place im going to call in a minute to see what they know. Looks to be the least shady of those in the area.
