I put a can in the fuel tank and one in the oil about 100 miles before I do an oil change. Just to keep everything clean. I haven't torn the block down yet but a few more aged mechanic friends of mine swear by the stuff.

I use it on my 4.0 Ranger with 190K on it, works great. Suck half the bottle through a vaccum line and let it soak for awhile and I dump the other half in the tank. It really does help out. Makes it idle smoother, I never drive it easy enough to tell if it makes any improvement on mpg. Never tried it on my d-max though......

curious to see if anyone has.

Didn't notice anything in the Diesel, but for anything gas yes. My generator was running rough and when hooked up to the RV and the AC kicked on, it would die. Put half a bottle in it and it now purrs. Lawn mower runs way better and smoother. Stuff is great.

Well I started using seafoam yesterday, Ive got about 150 miles, with it, my engine seems a little quieter, I know my pump is, Just thought I would post what I thought about it, I would recommend it, a good additive is a must for us guys with oversized pumps, injectors, ect, Well for any Duramax owner for that matter, no matter what the hp rating is, :thumb:

I love the stuff. I work on a ton of small equipment and two stroke engines and it is amazing. Usually if you can get them to run at all and run seafoam threw them that complete tank they clean up. Everytime I tear a carb down and clean it a can of seafoam goes in. I work on anything associated with commercial lawncare and small tractors and have fallen in love with it. After seeing the difference in two identical weedeaters I was sold. I got two new Stihl's donated last year. I ran one with seafoam every tank and one without. Over the winter I pulled the engines apart and the one that ran seafoam looked like brand new. The other one had allot of carbon buildup and was starting to run rough. I put them back together and started running seafoam in the other and it has cleaned up.:thumb:

And for those of you that have stopped to wonder why it is called "Seafoam."

"Seafoam was developed in the 1930s originally for the marine market, hence the name. Fred Fandrei, the founder of Seafoam, showed Evinrude Outboard Motors how to solve their stale fuel, varnish and carbon problems with its use. Because the product worked so well, and after many years of experimentation, Seafoam became a great problem solver in the automotive after market as well."

For a better history, check out The Seafoam Story

For use in diesels, here is The Diesel Engine FAQ

I use it in all my small gas engines, not in my diesel trucks or Garden tractor however...
