It's nice when other pullers come together to help guys out when things go wrong.

I just wish the class didn't get to the point where drivelines failures would determine who wins/loses, that doesn't make it much fun for anyone.

Robs truck is still mildly built compared to several other 2.6 trucks whose classes give them even more freedom...and it'll still beat them...absolutely one hell of a truck and crew:thumb:

Same reason the gas class went to 106 type rearends. They got tired of shelling built 14bolts with their $20,000++ bbc. But for some reason people really cuss when you mention a 106 in the 2.6 class.

I'd rather see it go to srw or 24" hitch before adding 106s

The 24 inch hitch height is helping guys around here. In the outlaws (think, some iowa org atleast) they went to single wheel.

Or a 2.6"x3" with smooth bore no MWE groove would work, like they should have went to 2 years ago...

I agree! But running 2 inch less height should be obtainable by anyone. That might not totally fix it but it sure doesn't hurt it one bit. Hell I knew people running 24 inch height trying to get away from breakage for a few years. And this is the first year they have that set as the maximum height

Idk. Heather's 2.5 truck "Hank" has about 18-20 hooks on it this year and she has broken:
Clutch pressure plate
Tail housing
3.5"x.120" steel driveshaft
1480 yoke
38 spline Grizzly locker
Two R&P sets
This is on single 35 BFG ATs. I just shelled my first R&P after about 50 hooks on my 2.6 truck running 35s duals and that's been the only driveline failure so far since adding the duals beginning of last season.
