Damn, they are some nice trucks:thumb:

Friend of mine just bought a 16v92 to build and put in a tractor for the transplant class we have at the local pulls. Already has one tractor with a 8v92 and just bought a 5020 Deere with one in it (think its a 8v71 but not sure) I'm going to have to tell him to put one in a pickup now:cool2:

There is definitely no denying the sound of a Detroit Diesel engine is there.

Is it me or does it sound like the guy in the Ford truck was double clutchn'?

I would also appreciate it if someone could explain to me how two stick shifting works. Yes, I know you use two sticks to shift with, but when do you know when to shift the aux one? I've watched a lot of two stick shifting videos on youtube and still can't figure it out. I would love to drive an old big rig with a two stick trans one of these days.

We had a '78 KW tractor with a 8V92 bolted to a duplex back years ago at a company I used to work at.
It was a bastrd to drive. I only ever used the aux. with the main a couple times, the rest was too complicated for me and there was many a grind driving it!

Only a couple of the old boys knew how to do it right-very cool to watch them bang off the gears.

Dang wish there was more info on that first one it sounds sick

It was on Ebay about a year ago

Also that 2nd shifter would be a real challenge for me to get the ratios right, I'd prolly blow up the engine downshifting to hard, before I got the pattern down lol
