My chain drive broke on the garage door opener. Employee doesn't know which one is better, he grab another guy and he didn't know either. So screw drive or belt drive, any thoughts on either?

X 2 belt drive genie has a nice one for small doors soft start and stop . chamberlain belt drive is a great high end unit
went with the chamberlain belt drive 3/4hp. Had everything u could think of for 200. The genie was priced 174, but to add the keyless entry for the exterior was 41 bucks and the chamberlin already had it plus some. The one that's in the garage now is a lift master and its stated that the lift master and chamberlain is like a chevy n gmc.. So liftmaster didnt give me any probs, so Ill stick to the brand...
