anyone runnin their super stocker turbo or comp wheel only? buddy found them on line and i find it kinda interesting. may look at jsut doin the comp wheel for now since its only 300 bucks but at 154k a fresh rebuild with a little extra stuff for 1150 aint bad ( i dont think lol).

I saw them too...just happened to be looking for an LB7 wheel one day and they happened to release there's the day before. I guess they are sold out of them for now though, but I'd like to get the 64.5 wheel and have an excuse chuck my housing up on the CNC

haha id agree but i wonder if you really gain that much more CFM, realiable boost, and is worth the money. I may jsut have to try this thing out and give some reports back but if someone esle has id love to pick their brain.

I think its a great idea , but i would like to see it tested properly and get some results like boost increase , egt reduction , Drive pressure , ect . Sometimes sticking a bigger wheel in a turbo doesn't quite work right, not saying this is the case just something for every one to consider .

exactly. Id love to be able to jsut pick up one of your kits trent but i know the stocker turbo is gettin tired. Ill try callin these guys this week and see what i can get from them. if it looks pretty legit then i may jsut be gettin one of these. If anything it will jsut help spool your twin kit a little faster lol

You would have to call him and talk to Freddy about it. He told me he really liked it; I was gunna have him rebuild my stocker and P&P the turbine housing but never got around to it and couldnt have my truck down for that long.

I have a core if you guys want to rebuild the core so you have less down time it needs a comp wheel anyways and maybe a shaft

well that may be a worth a try! not sure what their "fresh rebuild" includes. Let me get ahold of these guys and see what i can find out. hopefully i can make some time today to talk with them

well i dont mind doin the super stocker on the truck as long as it gives me some performance. The way i see it is ill be puttin one of trents twin kits on the truck using the stock turbo as the small turbo and the one i have now will need a rebuild soon with 154k and the power ive been runnin through it. so i may as well get all i can out of the stock charger to help the bigger charger or even step up a size if this really does push that much more air. From what i keep hearing and from two guys that ive talked to that have this turbo its a pretty good setup. By no means is it a s366 or anything but a nice improvement over stock. guess i may be the test dummy lol

Well scott and screamin diesel emailed me back today and we have been talkin back and forth. right now they are 2 months out on the compressor wheel which is no good cause by then i could have the cash for twins lol. So then i asked him if puttin the super stocker would really help any with a twin kit, he says not really but may help spool up though the twins spool up quick as it is. I also asked about a rebuild on my trubo and from what im hearin there is no point in touchin it cause a twin kit will actually help bring the stock trubo back into the factory map and not be over run near as much.

So with how far out he is on compressor wheels and what its gunna cost for twin kit i may as well just hold out till the money for twins comes in! damn, there goes another chunck of change lol

i agree and his price is pretty damn close to trents in price (sent me a better price than whats on teh site) but we will see. Im still likin trents more :hug:

What makes you think your turbo is worn out.


When I put mine back on at 165k it was still tight no shaft play.

That is with 30,000 miles of 30+psi and 70,000 miles of above stock boost levels
