Wtf is a 777?

I have a 1056, drives fine with a stock turbo. It could couple a tad better but I'm not changing it for the hell of it. I would think a 1058 would be too loose for stock charger but they are supposed to couple very good. I think that's what Mike made the ML for. Idk just buy whatever your builder suggests :thumb:

I'm still debating this on my build. I just got off the phone with George and my appt is next Saturday :woott:

I'll be running Mark's new 68stg2R, and I need to decide between the 777, 1056, and the 1058.:confused::confused: I DD the truck and do everything in the world from grocery getter, commuter, family trips, light and super heavy towing. Too many choices, lol.

Awesome thanks... so now it's 777 or 1056, lol. My problem is that I do such a wide variety of things with my truck I guess :)

Jesse - it's George's Suncoast cenverter. I think it's similar to the 1054

My humble opinion, 1056 is as loose as I'd go on a stock charger truck. Of course there are exceptions, but for most that statement holds true.

Just giving an update, I ordered a Precision ML converter. After some more research, the less expensive ML, the warranty/stall adjustment, and the 1000s of positive reviews, I went with the ML.

Also, on another forum I read Mike L say he compares the ML converter to a 1058, so I figured this would be the best converter for me.

I ordered it from the guys at the DMAX Store, I would recommend them to everyone. They have amazing customer service and Jason went above and beyond to help me out and answer all of my questions.

Nsolimini do you have any updates on the converter? I am wondering how the ml is with your set up. I plan on sticking with stock turbo and injectors as well.

I think you'll like that converter. George pulled my 777 out and put in a custom Precision vert he's been working on with them. The neck snap on light throttle 5th lockup from the Suncoast is gone now; just a good bump. The 777 was also way too tight down low; the truck was dead off the line. This Precision needs to be a little tighter up top but otherwise great.

So far so good, seems to be holding up fine. This is my first built trans truck, so I couldn't tell if I liked another converter better. However, I have not had any issues with the ML converter, but it seems like a lot of guys are sticking with Suncoast or even going with Goerend now.
