I bought the frame out from under Brett's truck and the mounts were already there, but I decided I wanted to put a rack and coilovers on. A guy close to home made the front end for me. I cut a lot of the firewall away and made a removable cover and tunnel. The back two cylinders are pretty much in the cab, but it worked under Brett's truck.

Thanks. I'm trying to sort out some wiring issues. Hopefully we'll get it going before long. I'm probably going to have a guy tig up a 3 1/2" dual stainless exhaust off the 4" downpipe with a couple mufflers and dump them behind the rear wheels. That was one reason to raise the bed floor 4". I hope that looks ok.

I'm also putting some stainless vent shades on it to complete the Grampa Truck look just to upset the younger diesel enthusiasts. I've already caught crap for putting the trim back on it, so that will take them over the edge. At least I took the factory spotlight off of it. I've actually got a new set of the stainless round bed rails I bought for it probably twenty years ago but I decided they may be out of style now.

This had me laughing. Everyone has their own style, either way truck looks good!

Thanks. A guy here in my hometown is going to put the exhaust on. I call my welds gorilla welds. They're pretty strong but don't favor much. As I've said before, my Dad bought this truck new(2820.00), and he'll be 92 the day after Christmas and I want him to drive this truck. I don't like a bunch finishing it, but I have to sort out this no cranking issue.

Man. That’s some history.

Keep on pushing for it

I took my second shakedown ride today and developed a leaking return line on one side and an injector leaking on the other after a half throttle blast. when I get that straightened out, I've got to get tuning and lots of love on the paint. It weighs 4760 without my 300 and it drives pretty good. I still have to figure out those double adjustable coil overs. I'm afraid those 315's are going to live hard when that 75 lights, precisely what I wanted.
