yeah mine either.... so when we lived in the snow she was pushed very hard to drive anywhere we went :roflmao:

Ha! 2wd and 4wd drifiting is so much fun in these trucks. When it rains down here, i drive teh tracker everywhere. it has a lock rite in the ass end so if i hammer it as soon as i turn, the slop will build engine rpm and as soon as it locks in, im sideways the whole corner (like a clutch drop almost lol). im sure ill break something soon doing that but i really dont care, the rear ends are cheap and easy to work on :roflmao:. My wife gives me a "James carter!!" and then just holds on. i feel like after her riding with me for almost 9 years now, she would know im still a big kid at heart :D
My X wouldn't drive if there was a single snowflake falling!
And even after 11 years, she never did realize that I'm gonna be a big kid forever...

Normally I just rock the RWD aspect and enjoy it, its like driving the camaro and nailing it at 65 :D But boat leaves with or without us, so wanna make sure I get there on time. :woott:

I'm gonna grab few bags at lunch and after work. Probably won't ****ing snow now.

TX of course
thats how it works! az weather people were making everyone freak out about "worse rain to come this year!" after we just had a major storm so my parents started filling sand bags to put around a wash they have by their house...... we got 1/4" of rain from that storm

That happens everywhere. Seems like the ones that they say are going to be so bad don't do shit. The worse storms I have been in no one really saw coming.

Went up north for thanksgiving and our families wanted us to wait a day due to a bad ice storm coming. It only got a little hairy for about 300 miles that I slowed down to 50 for.

Heck I'll drive in a blizzard just about anywhere over any kind of inclement weather in Utah. Go off the road on I70 and you might not for found for weeks.

I have between 1000-1400 pounds with my slip tank and sliders. I am also running federal couragia m/t tires in the northern part of Alberta and have no problem on ice. Tires are a bit to aggressive for winter as they are just big lugs, but who doesn't like to drift?

I run my big tune all the time, no weight in the bed, and only use 4wd when i have to. It's more fun that way.

You guys still got power? Radio has been indicating the southern area has been getting hammered bad and tons of people are blacked out now.

In other news, cruise got delayed so 400lb of sand for something or other now.

We are good. Power is on. Snow is like 12" with drifts. I have the Woodstove burning, the snowblowers sleeping until tomorrow, and the genny gassed up and waiting just in case.

I'm getting cabin fever already though!

She is on North Burgee Dr in Mystic. There's nothing between her and Holgate, save some marsh. I think she's going to flood again

I just did two driveways. Eating and going for a third. I'm too old for this shit. I should have parked my ass in the basement and reloaded ammo all day lol

I shoveled half my driveway out so I can get my truck out later.

I have family and friends in Beach Haven, they be stuck. Hopefully the evening tide isn't terrible. :thumb:

You have one of my favorite trucks on the forum

Thanks  I wish I still had it :( That was the first Duramax I ever owned and by far the best one. 7 years, multiple motors, transmission rebuilds and misalanious parts later that truck still drove strait and was pretty much rattle free. That is more then I can say for the Denali that replaced it

Yes Denali HD Duramax/allison. And no real problems to speak of (since I deleted it.) What I meant in comparison to my 05, Is I just feel like my 05 was built better. I beat the shit out of my 05, drag racing, truck pulls, off roading etc etc. But I always maintained it and when I broke something I replaced it with better parts. That truck still drove strait as an arrow with no squeaks or rattles when I sold it 2 years ago, after all it went through. My Denali has never been off roading or participated in any racing or pulls but it constantly develops rattles that drive me crazy! Don't get me wrong I really enjoy all the creature comforts but the quality of the dash and door panels aren't great IMO. That and the new sheet metal dings super easy, It is about as thick as a beer can:baby: And my last b!tch while Im at it :D Once the tires get down to under 50% it develops a slight shimmy i can feel in the wheel, Granted they are 35" M/T tires (Cognito Lift) but I have ran everything from Toyo's and nittos to cheap Federals on it with the same results. The front ends of the new(er) trucks are very finicky and the slightest thing off transitions directly to the steering wheel. I just installed a steering stabilizer last week I am hoping will help with this but my tires are brand new so it will be awhile before I can tell if it helps. All in all its a great truck that I really enjoy DD but for the 60+k there getting for these things now it pisses me off when something rattles or squeaks.:baby::D
