A lot of times the bigger chargers don't reduce EGTs as advertised either from what I have seen and heard on here.

Especially when you add more fuel to compensate for the new found air.:woott:

My big charger only helped egts at idle. Best thing to do with an egt gauge is unplug it unless you tow really heavy through the mountains and you lack common sense.

Yeah work stock class pulling truck. FAR from stock tuning and hard parts all being fed air through a stock unmodified LLY charger lol.

1700-1800 even with the new charger. Seems like the cruising egt's are lower though.

My water/meth dropped mine at least 250 degrees, wonder why such different results??

When I ran water/meth 50/50 mix it wouldn't drop egt's much but it felt a little faster made 26 rwhp on a Mustang 2000 dyno too, just straight water worked good about 150*-200* cooler

compounds help the EGT's but increase the temperature of both the oil and the air temps going into the intake. mainly because it has to force the air through your small chager.

PS on a WOT with a max effort tune & twins, the EGT's can still bury a 1600 degree guage.

THE COMPOUNDS DID HELP WITH EGT's tho. with my stock IHI i would bury the 1600 guage by the 1/8th mile, with the twins I almost hit 1600 (1550ish) by the end of the 1320

Man I run 50/50 usually, sometimes more meth, but I feel like its way more power (seat of pants) when the big jet sprays ( 12psi) comes on like a freight train.

I would have bet on an easy 75rwhp gain until you said that!!!

It did feel awesome, and thought it would add more too, but it didn't. Also striaght water makes the same power as no water, I know alot of guys who tow and they said it felt like it took power away, its the same.

Is the a difference from lbz to lb7 egts? On my race tune I Hit 1500-1600 but only for short bursts, just curious

My buddies LBZ with 30% overs gets 1700-1800 on his race tune too.....
