I am trying to determine what the best converter for my build is. I originally planned on using a S476/96/1.10 T6 but may be going to a 480/96/1.10 T6.

From what I can tell SunCoast no longer offers the 10532 anymore unless it has become a Limitless Diesel only converter. No other retailer nor website seem to have it. I've narrowed it down to SunCoast 10531, SunCoast 10532, SunCoast 1072, Goerend J (already have, 2700-3000rpm) or Goerend Q (3200-3400rpm).

Evan @ Limitless is telling me to go with a 10532 but if it isn't available anymore then I may have to look at other options.

Truck is mainly a hot street truck that I sled pull with as well as hope to take it to the strip. Yes, I understand the 96 turbine will be a little lazy and I do accept that. With that said, a good converter matching goes a looooooong way.

I have a couple 1053 high stall converters for sale. Both are around 3200 stall. One came from Evan. Other From Suncoast.

I ran it with a 76 single. Loved it. Wouldn't tow with it though. My truck was fun on the street with that set up.

Q performs awesome. Have lit 3 different gt50 variants as well as a hx82. I know its all relative but you get the picture. 1053-1 has also served us well.

How was the Q on the street or did you not have any street miles? Looks like I’m going with a 10532 or keeping my current J.

No street miles. It coupled really well pre lockup but about any converter would with the rpms we hit. So not much help from me concerning street mannerisms.

When we first converted to t6 we still had a 1055. Was easy to light a 480/96/1.32 but drove nice. Lots of people daily a 1055.

I know my j is great for what I had, just don’t want to slap it all back together and be like “man, this thing spools like crap”.
