I have an S475 sitting around and I'm wondering if it's ok to use it in a stock twin setup. If its a good one to use I'd probably see if I could buy the kit minus turbo from Trent.

Turbo specs S475 T6 1.32 a/r 83mm turbine

I would bet you have a 96mm turbine , in the 83 turbine the loosest housing made ( from Borg Warner any way ) is a 1.25 , post the part # on it and i can find out what the specs are for sure .

Hmmm! I'm thinking I have a good turbo for twinning my 02. Turns out, with the purchase of a TDI Jetta this past weekend, the 02 is no longer my daily driver so let the demonizing begin! :spit:

I'll rock it for a couple days till the lol wears off.

OP, you plan on making a thread about your twin build?

I'm up in the air on what i want to run for a turbo setup on my dd. I have to figure out what's going on with my motor first. If it has internal engine problems I will build the motor some and run twins or a decent sized single. If its not internal engine issues I'll just keep it stock and built the motor in my puller. I already have the majority of the engine parts. Just need to decide which truck i want to put them in. :thumb:

When I first built my twins, I used an s475 with 83mm 1.10AR exhaust. Drive pressure was roughly 80psi at 60psi boost. I ran it for probably 10K miles. I switched to a 96mm 1.32ar exhaust and dropped drive pressure a decent amount 15 or so psi IIRC.

What's wrong with your DD? Why do you think its something internal?

On cold starts she cranks over 2-3 times longer than normal, blows nasty white raw fuel smoke out of the exhaust, misfires really bad. This all pretty much goes away after the engine warms up but when warm if I hold it at anything over 1800rpm in neutral it shakes real bad. I'm going to do a compression test on it this week hopefully and see what that comes up with.

It does this on the stock tune?
