Wow even with 37's! I really would hate it then. If you can't stay over 2300 rpm then it is t worth it. Puke half your fuel out of your exhaust, egts through the roof, barking all over the place. I had mine for one tow before I decided to go with Trent twins and my load is only 10k. I would save the money for twins and then you will be happy

I could definitely see 37's and stock gearing making it a lot harder.

I think twins and later down the road re-gearing would be the best option for ya.

Yeah, thanks for the obvious. I looked at the date before I posted. Just wondering if he actually switched. Since Hondarider asked. Did know if he was serious or f@ckin around.

Lol

Pretty sure most ppl would be less inclined to go from twins to single than vice versa :D

.... but i have been wrong before.

Lol yeah i wound up gettin a great deal from trent on twins and went that route long ago. I REALLY dont think the 472 would be any fun towing my 12k toy hauler with 37s. I can be cruising the freeway at 60mph at 1500rpm, roll into the trottle and already have boost coming on. By 1700rpm its really movin lol

My tow tune does that on the stock turbo...with the kill tune, forget being polite to those behind you. I need another turbo... or 2

With stock tuning my truck doesn't blow smoke...but merging on to the hwy on the hot tune gets hard in overdrive. I'm better off hitting the ramp WOT lol

X2?

I really have to try hard to get it smoke. Unless I get playing with the lock up box in taller gears

I dont get full fueling till like 25--2600rpm's so even my "649hp" tune does not smoke. Obviously I can black out half of California from a dead stop, so I guess it does... :spit:

I know you can tune the smoke out, thats not my biggest issue. Its the lag before i get power. I like luggin the truck in 5th while towing and never really needing to down shift at a decent hill. With a 472, im afraid id have to be kickin down to 4th alot just to keep boost and power up. Not something i like
