It's not lifted anymore. 2" drop under stock and keys all the way down on 305/55/20 trail grapplers.

Correction on some info. Was confused what specs I ended up going with on this charger, its 72/83 .90. Anyhow pulled the camler again this weekend but on the hwy this time. What a horrible trip lol. Didn't matter what speed I ran, went up to 75-80, helped some, but egts would stay a solid 1200 even flat ground. So I slowed down to 65 and ran 4th, which kept the Rpms up around 27-2800, and egts stay at 800-1k and around 1200 max on grades. In 5th gear I make 5psi, and barely can get 10 before the truck downshifts and wants to go wide open. So here's my options.
1- bump down to a s366, then throw a 475 billet in front of it later.
2- turbine boost diverter valve by bd
Both around the same price, but not certain yet that I can get a 366 that will work with my gt42 down pipe or my vband boost tube. Any ideas? And wats the easiest way to test the intercooler? I used some PVC plugs last time, which worked but wasn't best

Have you talked to Kory about it? Maybe log it while driving in that range with the camper and maybe he might see something out of place.

How big of camper?

34ft bumper pull, roughly 7400 lb unloaded. Me and kory have talked about it. I've got my fuel kicked down to a 14xxus. When pulling the camper I just have no boost in the range. It never really has much besides taking off normal and when flooring it. Once cruising and converter locked it runs on hardly no boost. He is having the same issue on his lml with danvilles 72vgt.

Yeah but with it pretty well staying 1200 and up some in 5th I'd need a 55 gallon barrel in the bed lol

Thought about a water/method towing kit? Might be cheaper and easier then switching turbo setups again

it wouldnt matter anyhow. the power wouldnt be there when he hits the next hill till he down shifts and gets RPMs up to get the turbo moving. Hes just flat out under the working RPM for that turbo and his setup.

OP, i have no experience with the diverter valve but id start asking around to those that have it and see what they say if/when they tow at the rpms and weight your doing it in.

Bottom line us that you are using a turbo not designed for towing. Does not mean you can't tow something it does mean that you have to tolerate issues that you would not have if using the right turbo.

My 72 on the LML had the vanes at 90% trying to make boost to lower egts when towing 14k this past weekend. Couldn't drop 1100 hardly unless I downshifted and have it rpm... Figured some of the "experts" would say I was creating too much drive (which can equal heat) with the vanes at 90% trying to meet my desired boost, so I dropped max /min vane to 50% and it made less boost and higher egts. Both tests in overdrive running around 75mph and 1900rpms or so if I remember correct. Now, if I downshifted I could get egts to drop, however, moral of the story is the charger is just a little large for towing. I also tried 3 timing maps one being 45%BTDC, 55%BTDC, and 65% BTDC and the results were so close together it hardly matters.

Just what I have learned about towing with a big single, little rpm, and a heavy load... FWIW.

I'm putting a fleece 467 on it and can't wait to test everything!
