Well guys I had a thread on here a couple months ago trying to decide between and s472 and an s366 . Seems to be a question I have read from a lot of people. People are scared to take the s400 plunge because its such a big charger and by looking at it, you'd think it'd be a laggy bitch.

Thats not the case at all... My truck is 100% drivable everyday still. I put on a lot of miles so I am picky about how it drives, and I love this new charger. Hands down more drivable than stock if you ask me. Instead of having to deal with all those vanes I have a charger thats more pleasant to drive around town, and will light very quick when I start getting into it.

I let my dad and a couple buddies wheel it around and they said that when they were just cruising not on the throttle hard it felt like a stock driving truck with a good bit more torque. Everyone about shit themselves when they stood on it and the turbo lit. It'll take the back end of the truck right out from under you.

Overall its absolutely awesome to drive!! I could not be happier how it turned out. Gotta give a big shoutout to Blackout Performance for hooking me up with this awesome setup! I got new headhaskets, arp studs, and .45 over injectors while it was in there. :woott:

Congrats on the new turbo :woott: I felt the same way you did before I put the s475 on the truck. After it was and I saw how well the truck drove and how hard it hit I was glad I went with a big single.

Yeah I was planning to move that heat guard over a bit. Really amazing how great these big chargers run. You would not think that just from looking at one, perfect for daily driving if ya ask me!

More pics and videos  :D seen that pic on fb

Hahah all I gots is a lousy quality iPhone video of it.. My buddy has an HD camera and can edit so I am gonna get ahold of him and make a badass video someday soon tho. Will involve lots of tunnels :thumb::thumb:

Awesome :woott: I really like the white powdercoating under the hood!

Thanks man! I love how it looks too but I can already tell its going to be a nightmare to keep clean. Almost wish I'd have done candy blue, but until the white gets dirty beyond the point of no return its staying!

After a few years with my S366 I wish I would have gone with an S472. Don't get me wrong this turbo shits and gits but I think I'm just a little more greedy. I'm sure towing over the Rockies may involve a bit more downshifts but I can live with that :thumb:

its in the tuning but before we go de-railing this thread, pony express do a quick search there is tons of info on this subject.

you can make a twin setup work just fine for high hp, low torque on a stock bottom end but its gunna act like a big single and not really give you the benifits of a twin turbo setup.

And everybody keeps saying these "big" singles spool like stock. So either they are lying or it is apples to apples cause my twins spool "like" stock so they shpuld be making similar power curves

Well from what I have heard, twins are supposed to spool almost instantly. When I say like stock I am referring to an lb7, which did not have the variable geometry turbo. My dad has one with nothing but an exhaust that I drive every now and then. The spooling really is not much slower than the lb7... Very similar. Only place I notice this taking a slight bit longer is straight out from a stop if you don't boost it, or when you mash it down from 50-55mph. Thats really the only time... You'd be surprised. But no, I am not claiming they spool up like any of the variable turbos. Thats another ball game. But I absolutely hated that stupid stock variable on my truck..... I mean hated it. All in what ya like I guess...
