Gonna be switching to a s472. Convertor in my truck is a suncoast 1056 and was looking to get a s472/87/.9 but not sure if my convertor would be to tight. If its going to be a issue i will go with a s472/83/.9 race cover. Anybody ever ran a setup like i mentioned or have some advise if it would work or not?

I run an s472/83/.90 with a converter the same stall as the 1056. It does just fine on the street but I wouldn't want to tow a big trailer with it. As soon as I move into my new house I plan to pull my trans back out and send my converter out for a restall. A higher stall would make it a good bit more fun on the street, but other than that, it isn't to bad.

I would kept that charger instead of going to the 83 turbine but go to a 1055 converter.

I'm still running a 4094 but was trying to decide on some sort of s472 setup. It looks like I'm going to have to change my converter to get good use out of a s472 wether it be 87 or the 83. Still need to tow on occasion. Im pretty set on a s472/87 now and I'll swap out converters.

I drove my truck with a 1054 and a 75/87. It wasn't the best setup but I liked it a lot more than the 4094vvt I had previously. It was kind of laggy in the lower rpms due to such a tight stall, but it drove fine. And like stated above, get the 87mm turbine.

I have a Precision Viglante 2000 stall now with a FPE S472/87 and drives/ tows good. At the line I can only get around 10psi before I go thru the brakes. This weekend I'm refreshing the Trans and bought a new PI 2500 stall. Interesting to see what it does at the track and towing .

How do you like that charger? I'm thinking about going with the same one or maybe the 68?

don't tow, don't drag, don't sled pull..Brayden will prolly say I need a cheetah since I just DD but a big single is so fun..just don't know if the 68 will hit like my old 72 used to but the 68 hit over 900hp which I won't even need that for now

I towed 10,100 pounds with my s472 and precision ml 1800 stall last night...it wasn't ideal:D

I wonder how much altitude has to do with how yours tows and spools with that stall. I am probably going to do the 72/87 with the 1056 and when I refresh my trans ill have mine restalled.
