And another question...how come everyone says towing with a .90 housing is terrible? I haven't towed anything with mine yet but i would imagine towing with my 472/83/.90 wouldn't be bad at all considering how fast it lights.

I have towed with my 66/80 compounds and they are sweet! They work great all the way around race, sled pull, towing yada yada. Add a 480 to that bitch already!

Ok now for my 2 cents. I have a S475/83/1.10. I tow every weekend through the summer with a 16 foot box trailer with the extra added height. Trailer prob weighs 6,000 pounds. I am close to sea level. I made a tune that I would guess would still make my truck run mid 12's. The big thing is that rpm's with a single this size is your friend. Anything under 2300 rpms sucks! Short shifting into 5th gear around 50- 55mph is going to be under the turbo. I usually just use my OD lockout when needed or just keep my foot alittle closer to the floor board:thumb: My truck runs very clean on this tune. I actually like towing with it. EGT's aren't bad as long as your pulling rpm's. I wish I would have went with the 87mm exhuast wheel. Towing on flat land at 60 mph nets zero boost. Thats all I can think of off hand. My dad goes with me alot and never complains about how it tows. I say this because he's a big whinner. IF i was to tow heavy all the time twins would be my choice hands down.

My 5th wheel is around 11, 8 tall, 11, 800#. Loaded up with the family its alot more. I towed it with my danville 72 as a single, was ok. Twins hands down are the best for pulling, only downside oil heats up faster but egt's are in control. I change my oil often so I dont worry about it. If im towing alot oil gets changed every 2500 with the built motor.
