so, im dipping money little by little into the turbo fund and figure i would start discussing options with everyone:hug:

def want a BW (for cost reasons) but im not sure what way to go, truck rarely tows so im not worried about that but ill be honest and say im a bit of a street racer so spool up is obviously important (for rolling starts). i do plan on an engine build but not until down the road a little. at that point i would probably just add a big boy underneath:D

basically looking for,

max power available T4 s472 .9 A/r v.s T4 s468 (A/R??) .9, 1.0 1.1maybe? also the 68mm does not offer the ETT wheel by the looks of it...not sure how that will play out.

also a possible spool up comparison? stock injector/pump truck (for now anyway)

thanks:)

EDIT: also forgot to ask what effect a race cover would have on spool-up.

thanks nick, i understand how it improves airflow however im wondering if the larger volume would take more time to fill if that makes sense:confused:

thats just my brain rambling on and its probably a stupid question but something im ignorant of nonetheless:eek:

Its my understanding that the only difference between the race cover and a normal cover in the mouth of the intake. Shouldn't take anylonger to spool and should only help, kind of like putting a bigger intake tube between the fliter and turbo.

If you're talking about the Bullseye race cover then I believe it has a larger AR than the BW cover. I say go with the race cover, I didn't see a difference in a twin setup as far as spoolup. The only downside would be cost and the 5.5" inlet, the 3" compressor discharge would work nice with your 3" intercooler tube though.

Here are the two side by side, Bullseye race cover is on the left.

Does the race cover always have the slip fit discharge and the non race cover has the vband discharge?

The race cover comes both ways. The v band is 4.25 outlet on the race cover and intake is 5.5. The ex ar size is were you can kill yourself on spoolup. Once you hit around 550 you might want to think about a spare block the rods will hate you. We will see how long Nicks lasts with the S475 I see if he hits 11.xx he's pulling and building it if he doesn't god only knows what he will do to it lol Nick. Aslong as he out runs the flamer gmc buddy :spit::hug:
