I was thinking of puting a twin turbo on my lb7. I was planning on using a s400 turbo. Will it work?

Yes, most use the stocker with a 75mm in a twin setup

Or just run the 71 as a single. As said the 71 is too small to be a big boy in a twin kit.

Yep I've been running a smaller S400 single than the 71 but I love it. Didn't really care for my 75 but have heard that the 71 is a decent medium between the small end (my 64) and the big end (80)

Did nobody catch that he said it's a 71mm, 95mm (which is more than likely really 96mm). The 71mm compressor has a 101mm exducer so he has to be refering to turbine. That means it has a T6 (most likely 1.32 AR turbine housing on a 96mm turbine and it is not at all a turbo you could run as a single - it would never spool up. I do agree that a 71mm compressor is a little small to run in a twin setup - a 75mm or 80mm would be better. To run it as a single you would need to swap to a T4 housing and 83mm turbine, which would also require a new center section. I have new and used S475 and S480 wheels and covers sitting here.

The S472 would work fine in a twin setup , but being its the same cost as a S475 no one ever uses it , I would use it over the S475 for a towing based set. flow is still pretty good and is only short 10lbs per minute comparing to the S475.

Agreed. It would work, especially in a towing set - just wouldn't have quite the top end of a S475.
