S400 standard vs race cover????

So I have a s400, was wondering if anyone has dynod back to back to see the power difference? A friend of mine builds pullin tractors, and on them they lost power switching to a comp cover on the dyno. Any input would be great

I'm really surprised they lost power, every setup is different, but if you are talking a billet clipped 2.5" charger I'm not sure it will make much difference at the .55 a/r to .66 a/r (I think that's what they are) but if you are really working a compressor wheel to the top of it's compressor map then it would do you some good?

How much power were they making when they lost? 1200+ or 700-800??? That can make a big difference.

I made 978 rwhp with s480/s366 twins with a standard cover s480 and stock intercooler on a superflow dual eddy current. I would have liked to swap covers and dyno and then with an air to water intercooler.

It's a billet batmo 2.5, yes like 1100-1200 hp on tractors. And I think it's a .90 ar on this one. It's a s463
