If you can't hear a boost leak, like jneal said, wastegate or exhaust leak would be the next place to start
yeah im gonna block off the wastegate and try that to see what happens cause when pumping the system up i was hoping to hear the noticable leak somewhere but nope of course its not gonna be that easy for me, anyways so ill try that and see what happens
I've had issues with boost leaks in the past, what psi are you testing the system with? I've had boots hold up to 20psi or so and open right up at 25.. I've also shot a glowplug into a Ic tube and it was the smallest hole that caused me to lose boost up top
Hook up a regulated air supply to the wastegate line and check for travel. I would assume II would have fixed a problem like that though.
If you have a egr delete tube on, check to see if you blew out the o-ring where the 90* intake horn goes into the intake bridge.
Checck your sensors. You said that POS II turbo put oil in the system. Map sensormight be screwed up
Was it actually the turbo that put oil in the intake? Iirc, the part of the charger is pretty sealed up from the rest. Perhaps the oil he was seeing is the left over oil from before the pcv was rerouted. I know I still have oil in my cac.
ive got pro fabs welded 3 in bridge cause i blew out the stock one first run i did with her. And yeah the guy at ii said his tech said there was some blow coming from the turbo but nothing major yet. I talked to epr today and so its back to the drawing board, he thinks my leak has to do with exhaust at this point so lets hope shes not to terrible to find
No unfortuantly its been to hot and accompinied by my laziness i havent gotten around to it yet, im leaving for 3 weeks next fri for military training so its going to one of my buddies house and hes gonna see if they can figure it out. Im really at the point of not wanting to mess with it anymore. So hopefully itll get figured out while im gone:thumb:
