Well, the lly stock wheel is 63.5mm. One would think it would take very little machining to make it fit...the 62 should fit already...

Shaft size I never thought about

Yes on the inducer end it might fit, but you also need to look at the exducer. The best way to do it is go with a larger wheel and have it machined down to fit the housing or vice versa and then balanced, you also need to look at the shaft size.

If the Cheetah's (68 & 71.5mm) can be made to work I don't see any reason you'd have trouble with the 64mm wheel just have to look at shaft size as stated, machining the housing and balancing it...

Well I was hoping for very minimal machining. And I'm
not trying to go crazy with the wheel size cause the turbine is stock....

Anyone know the size of the stock shafts offhand?

Why don't you just buy an S300?

x2...best thing I ever did, well worth the money compared to modding the stock chargers

trust me if i had the money to spend right now i would..only it would probably be an s400;)

Well I know some that had a stock charger do Just as Good as a s300 so but that could.all be tuning related as well But an s300 will whistle more :D

i think my stock guys does pretty good for what it is....but i dont see why maybe a slightly better designed wheel wouldn't help even a little?...

It will help I just think what everyone is saying is that for the trouble you'll be going through the gains arent worth it

it probably is not, but i still like to explore ideas and get scenarios about why something will/will not work as opposed to "just buy an s300"... trying to learn here:)

I hear ya man...I've had a couple turbos on my truck and curious, "what's your goal?" I know as fast as possible but go more in depth than that...do you want to drive it on the street? do you want to tow with it? Is it your DD? That type of thing and I think we can find something that works for ya

eh... im not really worried about towing, it would be nice if i could but work took a backseat to play with this truck quite some time ago:rolleyes:

if money were no object, i would just have a set of twins something like a s466 over a GT42x or 45.... but money is an object sadly so im leaning more towards an s472 or a Gt4294 journal.... as singles..

still a little ways away though in the money department..:(

I'd say run a setup like I'm running...good power even with my setup (stock CP3, injectors) however capable of 800+ on fuel with a big A/R that'll leave room for spray (mine's 1.10) and once I got used to the longer spool time I like it a lot now. At first it rubbed me the wrong way cause I've never had a non-VGT turbo at all let alone one this big haha...but now I like how hard it sits ya back when that f()cker lights
