If you had your pick which intake would you choose? S and B is more sealed but they are both decently sealed from hot engine bay? I understand they are similar but what would you pick?

I see alot of people hating on oiled filters but in my opinion if you oil them properly there are better than a dry filter. But a dry filter with a wrap is nice.

I’ve only ran oiled filters 🤷🏻‍♂️ Never had any issues so I see no reason to change

I will never run a dry filter after running a AFE oiled filter 7 layer unit through 560 miles of silt, dirt and everything else an off road adventure will throw at you. There is 0 dust in that turbo. I was absolutely astounded. Every dry filter I’ve seen in dusty conditions still allows fine dust into the intake unless it’s a donaldson/ump dual filter or a factory paper filter

S&B oiled has never steered me wrong and I ran some really gross dusty oilfield roads with it. Oil it properly and run a sock and it worked good for me.

I’ve been rocking a s and b oiled filter for 10+ years. Probably more like 12-13 and never had a single issue. Buy an extra filter and clean them and let them dry good.

I think I will go ahead and purchase an S and B oiled intake. I cant wait to put it in! Just trying to clean up engine bay and maybe get a little bit of improvement in throttle response and turbo noise.

TX of course
I prefer no filter I guess... Since it seems like the lube guys can't ever put them back on right and I end up sucking a bunch of dirt down my intake. I can't believe I haven't trashed an engine yet or a Turbo.

I've never had a problem with oiled filters even when I over did the oil some.
