Ok quick question, I am
Going to run my truck at the strip tonight but it is going to be real hot, around 90 degrees. Now maybe a stupid question but is it going to have a real big effect on what I run since its going to be hot? I know with a turbo gas car or something people run into serious heat soak problems when it's hot out. What do you guys think?

Bahaha, I'm sure you do Brian! In all seriousness. Will it hurt my times that bad?

I'd assume by your location you're going to New England dragway?
The heat definitely won't help but I can't imagine it knocking anymore than a tenth or two off your times. And if your first time is anything like mine, they won't be fast or consistent anyways haha

Well im pretty familiar with running the dmax, ran my 06 lly probably 25-30 times. This truck I havnt ran yet but basically set up the same as my other, same Trans kit and converter. It's lowered down. I'm pretty confident that it should be ok.

Well good luck. Post up if you ever get a chance to go to New England dragway on the Friday street nights. Be good to line up with another truck that wasn't in the 15s haha

I haven't tuned for my new turbo yet so I was getting check engine lights around the eighth mile and running 13.3 at 100 with the truck pulling fuel and boost bad. Everyone at the track was still amazed haha. Best part was the 14 and 15 second powerstrokes and 1 other duramax on a ppe tuner smoked like trains and I barely puffed off the line

Hahaha. Yeah last year I had a few injectors on my 06lly returning to much fuel, still running 13.0@104. This truck feels much stronger so we will see! Atleast anywhere in the 12's ad I'll be happy!

the further your turbo is ran out of its map, the worse heat/hot air will affect your power

Running it out of its map pushes hot air by itself. Definatley won't be as fast as if it was 50* outside with low moisture. Faster it is the worse it will affect it, but I don't think it will knock more than 1 off. If you have a bad time, you can still blame it on the moisture in the air though :)

what is your 60ft? running in TH isnt going to change your runs that much at your power level with stock turbo. what's your weight too? I ran a little faster ET at 98mph with the IronHyde truck I was working on a few years ago there at 7400lbs. are you dropping rail pressure?

1.92/1.74/1.80 but I should definatly be over 100mph trapspeeds. I should be atleast a 12.9. My stock 06lly did a 13.56 with stock Trans.. Lol

I agree that you are probably losing rail. My LLY has went 12.40's on 95* days. I also leave in TH.

Ok, so my best last night was a 13.54@100. Granted it was 95° out. Should have been atleast a 12.9! I know my fpr has been loping an getting worst. Not sure if that's the culprit, but goin to buy a v2 and log the rail pressure and see what's going on WOT. I will be also buying a lbz fpr to add aswell. Oh well
