I bought a set of adapters from Fred Goeske at http://www.wheeladapter.com/. They are steel with a hub centric ring built in. Running a stock 17" GM inner wheel with and aftermarket aluminum outer and 315/70/17 BFG's with no spacer between the wheels. May switch to a 285 or 295 so the tires don't touch so bad in the middle. Overall width is about 97".

So what u did is put the dually spacer on the axel the put a dually rim on then the regular rim on the outside? I was thinking of making a spacer that welds to the inner steel rim and making a plate to bolt to that then bolt a regular rim to that

These guys make wheel blanks that you can mod. I welded in my own center than welded a 10'' 1/4 thick tube to bolt the outside rim onto i will try and get some pics posted. the best thing with the mrw wheels is you can get them in 10'' wide. here is the link http://www.mrt-wheels.com/

Dually wheels inner and outer, with 315's it measure just over 96" which is the width rule fore some organizations. A regular rim would be cool on the outside, but width at least for me would be an issue.

They measure 3 1/4, flange to flange, 3" would work fine though, plenty of spring clearance.

I want to run 285's on dually rims and still be under 96" overall width. Do you think a 2" or 2.5" spacer would work on each side without hitting the springs?

If your going to run dually rims then u should b fine with only a 1 1/2 inch spacer I believe I tried that option but I want to run a full size rim if I can

I'm running a 3" spacer with 17" dodge dually rims. I bought the spacer off of ebay. Do you have upgraded axles? My first run out with duals I broke an SCS axle, so I upgraded to yukon's 38 spline axles and spool.

2.5" would never work with 315's, very close with 285's. I would say with a 3" spacer and 285's you should be under 96".

well we will c how they work!! there heavy as hell and sofar im into the whole project for right around $100 plus tires, i went with bfg AT 295 75 16, it was the cloest and best thing in size i found to my sts, i used a stock dodge first gen rim for the inside rim and built my spacer off that, i have 1.5 inches between the bfg on the inside and the leaf springs, theres about 3/4 inch of space between the side wall of the tires when the weight is on the the tires, and about 2 inches between the thread of each tire
