This is a tutorial on how get an AMD X6 chip to fold the really BIG jobs.

Since the operating system needs to report 8 cores, it's for the more adventurous folders.

I haven't done this yet, but when I try it, I will report my findings.

It looks to me like this could have worked for me. I may just try it, with a few changes ( cpu number ) when I get my other two processors. I wonder though, will 4 2.3ghz opteron 2356's do the work one of these AMD x6's will do? Sorry for the jack. Your opinion needed. Thanks

I don't really know. I know a X6 clocked at 3.6ghz will fold a 6701 with a 00:11:30 TPF or faster. Most the X6 folders are running 4.0ghz overclocks.

Thanks for the reply. Delete as required. It is taking 11:50~ per fold with 8 cores at 2.3ghz and only a 6701 wu. May be better off waiting for the other processors before I try it.
