ok, so my buddy with his mercedes has been boasting about how he's, free from the man and drives for free b/c he runs on WVO.

so i finally decided to try a mix. this is my first tank and i'm running a 75>25 mix wvo>off road. with my ppe set on 120 (pl3), i have so far seen a 6mpg increase! with my 16.5 gal fuel cell, i've gone from getting 240 miles to a tank to now 330. the engine runs noticably quieter and the looks you get from smelling like a fry basket are priceless

so far i'm very happy with the results. i'm going to change my fuel filters out tomorrow and see if it changes anymore.:coolspot:

it does feel nicer to drive almost for free.

i've got about 75 gallons of it sitting here. never thought about trying that.

local restaurant was giving me about 5-10 gallons a week. started making bio, and had a good batch, but then they stopped giving it to me. wont even talk to me about it.

I was mixing it into the torpedo heater last winter...

ha i was running some in my heater to last winter. makes it smell nice in the shop too.

yea i'm actually surprised that i haven't clogged my filters yet. when i ran pump Bio i clogged it up in a few days and didn't see this kinda of mileage increase either. guess it just shows how much crap is still in the pump Bio.

i'm sure it would do wonders for you as well.

I would be careful running straight wvo, from what I understand at our common rail pressures the glycerin component of wvo can gelatinize and causes problems. Glycerin's flash point is something like 320 degrees F , vs. diesel's flash of 125 degrees F. I have no experience with wvo but have done enough reading for 10 people.

Please don’t feel I am bashing you, I am all for it, but I choose to dabble in making bio-diesel from wvo to remove that glycerin component.

Happy fueling…I really hope it works for you.

Just my .07, inflation is a sob.
